Overview

Silver Sand package is a one day excursion package to Kalpeni Island.

Ship departs from Mangalore/Beypore and next morning ship reaches Island and departs evening from Island, next day morning returns to Mangalore/Beypore.

Swimming, Snorkeling and other water sports are conducted during the day tour. Sightseeing (Marine Museum, Tuna Factory, Villages, etc.). Folk dances by local performers will be arranged in all the islands. Overnight stay is aboard the ship, and in the night we would be sailing to the next island.

One full day will be spent with a range of water sports like, snorkelling, kayaking, viewing under water marine life through glass bottomed boats, Scuba diving etc.

During the day, Lunch, Refreshments and Entertainments will be provided ashore.

MV Minicoy/Amindivi. The ships have cafeteria, snack bars.

Accommodation facility in the ship is semi sleeper pull man seat in AC Hall.

Ship programmes/Itineraries are subject to change without notice due to ships arrival / departure or other unforeseen reasons.

LTC/ LTA Eligibility:

Government employees and their family members traveling on leave can get LTC/ LTA Certificate from the Sports Manager onboard. On 2nd day onwards in the cruise.

How to Reach
Entry Permit

You should reach Beypore or Mangalore by your own means at boarding point on sailing day.

At Mangalore: Old Port, (Local Name Uppudakke), Bandar, Mangalore

At Calicut: Beypore Port, Beyore, Calicut.

Collect your boarding pass from On board Manager by showing your id card and check in.

Boarding time will intimate 1 day prior

An Entry permit needs to visit all Lakshadweep Islands. To arrange this forward your Filled Application.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Departure fromt Mangalore OR Beypore (Calicut Kerala)

Departure port will be subject to the schedule published below from mainland, Guest need to report at the departure port by 8.30 AM, Check in process will take 30 Mnts after boarding within 2 Hrs ship will get sail to Lakshadweep, if the boarding before 12 Noon Lunch will be provided in the ship itself.

Guest can visit the Bridge (wheel House) after taking permission from the welfare officer and Dinner will be served in the seat by the representative of Lakshadweep tourism (SPORTS) between 7 Pm to 8 Pm

Day 2 - Arrival Kalpeni island as per schedule

After breakfast will make embarkation process to Island by specially arranged boat by Lakshadweep Tourism (SPORTS) this transfer will take 20 Mts to reach the Island from ship, after welcome drink at the resort will provide water game for the guest and Lunch will be provided in the beach from 1 PM to 2 Pm.

Overnight Stay onboard MV Kavaratti

Day 3 - DAY 3 – Departure to Mainland (Mangalore or Beypore (Calicut-Kerala)

Ship will get enter to the main land about 11 AM and the ship breath at the port by 10 Am, breakfast will be served at the ship and guest can get down to the land, Guest can proceed to their destination after collecting their baggage.

15% cancellation charge will be deducted if the booking is cancelled 30 days before departure of the ship.
30% cancellation charge will be deducted if the booking is cancelled between 29th to 7th days before departure of the ship.
No refund if cancelled within 7 days before the departure of the ship.
100% refund if the schedule is cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions and/or other unexpected technical faults.
No damages/claims will be payable except MONEY paid by guests to us.

Consumption of liquor is prohibited in Lakshadweep and in the ship as well.
Program / Schedule of ship is liable to be changed / cancelled without prior notice. Ships are operated by Lakshadweep Administration. In case of a change in the ship schedule liability of SPORTS is restricted to transporting the tourists back to Cochin by immediate available conveyance of the ship only
Tourists availing LTC may collect LTC certificate fromthe tour agency at the time of return journey.

ID Proof for each passenger is mandatory.
Boarding pass will be issued by providing booking details at Sports counter.
Report at Lakshadweep passenger scanning centre, Willingdon Island, Kochi in between 0930 hrs and1030 hrs on the journey date.
UT of Lakshadweep has been declared as prohibited area under Lakshadweep prohibition regulation 1979 and carrying liquor into Island is an offence under above regulation and rules framed there under.
